Devil’s Bit Mountain Paragliders

I had a student researching folklore here over the weekend, and we visited the Devil’s Bit Mountain. On the way we had chats with a lot of very friendly people on their way back down.

We chatted to people about the weather, about the fairies and energy  lines, and a number of other things. A very friendly man named John, who had two great St. Bernard’s, told us about the energy lines on the land, about fairy rings, and the battles that had been fought. It was a brilliant day and a very nice experience. The weather was beautiful, and the sky was full of paragliders–check out the photos.

Devil’s Bit Mountain is five miles from Fairy Fort Farm. When you visit the farm, be sure to take a trip up to the mountain, from where you can see for miles. The scenery is unsurpassed, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
